I am a Chef, Food Writer and Teacher. I have been passionate about food since I was sixteen. Self-taught in the early years, I went to university and qualified with a diploma in Professional Cookery in 2005. I started a catering business in 2009 and I changed the model after a year, it was successful almost straight away.

I founded an award-winning food festival in 2011, broadcast on local BBC radio, became a cookery course writer and teacher for several local cookery schools.

It has been a crazy decade or so but the changes we all experienced in March 2020 meant the business went into hibernation! I am now pivoting the business to become an online cookery school.

Oh, and I moved house in 2020 as well! This excitement and change have been a challenge, but I believe hard work and aiming high, success will follow.

Substack is a means for me to share with you how and why I work as well as the food I create. Hopefully providing an insight into a chef's life and the hospitality industry that has been hit so hard in the last eighteen months!

Why don’t you take a look at my website as well?

Published once a week with a view or a thought about anything related to food, cooking, chefs and also a recipe is thrown in for you to try at home!
